[Tarboy]

Wow

Do you know what separates the great flashes from the all-time ones? It's not the great animation, or use of music, but the ability to tell a story through the animation, and tell it well. There is no doubt that you can do that. Best flash of 2009? Perhaps so.

Confusing

I think the main problem is that I don't know the backstory behind this. The flash is ten years old now, so any ads from that site that would have appeared on Newgrounds are long gone. The fast that the graphics are minimal and the sound is nonexistent except for the end hurts this flash as well. The story was interesting though, from what I understood.

Silly

There was some effort put into this flash, with trying to find this guy friends and having a few options. The graphics were okay but not great. Still, the story was kinda silly. The smoker didn't seem to have a point, and though the military section was better, there wasn't all that much to the story. Having some music would have helped this flash, it was not to easy to concentrate on it.

Alright

I thought this was actually a very solid flash. The music fit quite perfectly, and the animation wasn't all that bad. While I wasn't sure why he was sad originally, a bird pooing on your had will certainly make you sad. MY major issue is that I felt it could have had more. Nothing really wrong with the flash though,it was fairly solid.

Rather odd

Admittedly, the flash was annoying at first. The voices popped a bit in the mic, I can tell, which made it harder to listen to. The loop, while very short, was done effectively though, with no obvious gap between where it starts and ends. The animation wasn't too bad, and I understand what you were trying to do with this flash.

Not bad

Overall, this was a fairly solid flash. It wasn't amazing, but it was good. I like the voicework, and I lover which way the story went. The animation wasn't all that great though, as the mouth movements didn't match up with the voice at all. Having the graphics part homemade and part ripped from the net was a bit awkward as well. Nonetheless it was enjoyable.

Meh

The preloader was pretty good. The music fit and I was ready to enjoy what was in store. Unfortunately, as the game began, it got boring fast. All it was was a picture and you clicked it to move his arm a bit. You have to have more in a game to make it enjoyable, unfortunately you didn't have that. It got better again near the end though.

[Bad Ass Aliens]

Fairly solid

Overall this was a fairly good flash. It moved a little on the quick side, and there wasn't much to it, but what we did get was enjoyable. The aliens moving around blowing people up was alright, but coming across the third alien propelled this into an enjoyable flash, as that was pretty funny and not what I expected.

Alright

While the art was rather minimalist and the mouth movements were rather poor, the song was fairly good, and that's pretty much the main point of this flash. I would have liked to have seen more going on in the flash though, beyond the woman standing there with the microphone.

Not done

It's unfortunate that only one out of the four options were done. It's been 10 years, so the ones coming soon I'm quite positive aren't actually coming. Anyway, neither of the three options do much. The abduction was really more of an explosion, and the probe was rather odd. The gun one wasn't terrible, at least there was some animating.

The animation is very choppy though, and the lack of more sound or music keeps the rating down.
